Website plan prices from Squarespace's and Wix's own pricing pages. Your domain renews as it does today (usually about $20 a year).

Own it outright. Done for you.

The web has moved on, and your hosting bill can too. I move everything, and help you set up free Cloudflare and GitHub accounts, so your website lives with you.

  • One fee to move your site. Pay once (payment plans available), and you're good to go.
  • $0 a year for hosting. No more paying for a plan to keep a simple website online.
  • Your site, your accounts. Its files live in your own GitHub account, and Cloudflare, one of the world's biggest web networks, shows it to your visitors.
  • Fast everywhere. Clean code with nothing extra to load, so it opens quickly on any phone.
  • Your own editor and builder, at no cost. Click anything on your page to change it, and add sections and pages yourself. See it all before you publish.
  • Changes in plain words. Add your own AI key (Google Gemini's is free) and describe what you want, like "Add our summer workshop to the home page". You see exactly what would change before it goes live.
  • Your domain and email stay as they are.

Change it yourself. Build on it, too.

Your website comes with its own editor and builder, and every new version of it, free for as long as you have the site. Click anything on your page and change it. No subscription, and nothing extra for your visitors to load.

  • Click it, type it, move it. Click a heading or a paragraph on your page and type; click a photo to replace it. On a computer, drag words, buttons and photos to a new spot on the page.
  • Build on it. Add new sections and whole pages, news posts, and kind words from your clients, and move, copy or remove them. You see them on your page straight away.
  • Make it your look. Choose your button color, fonts, logo and spacing from choices that always read well, add your social links, and see your whole site change beside you before you save.
  • Sell from it. Add products or classes with prices and photos, sorted into categories, each with its own page. Visitors pay into your own Stripe account, or with Venmo.
  • Safe to try. Undo any change, or save a draft to look it over first. If your browser closes before you save, your editor brings your changes back. History lets you put back any change, and your editor tells you the moment your changes are live.
  • It always looks right. Sections are made to fit any phone, so a change can't break the design.

Rather not? Send me what you'd like changed and I'll do it: $60 an hour, $15 minimum per change.

How it works

  1. See your preview

Your home page, rebuilt and shown side by side with today's. Free.

  2. Say go

A $100 deposit starts your move. It comes off the price, and comes back if you don't approve your new site.

  3. See it, try it

Pick the pages that move, then look through your whole new site on a private link, and try changing it in its own editor. No accounts needed yet.

  4. Approve, then it's yours

When you approve it, you pay the rest and make two free accounts (GitHub and Cloudflare), and I move your website into them and switch your domain over. Your current site stays up until then.

After launch I check your new site every day for two weeks, then tell you when it's safe to cancel your old plan.

Every step shows you what you'll see

Your checklist walks you through each step with a picture of the real screen, and emails you when it's your turn.

Bootsy

Hi, I'm Bootsy

A few lines about you: who you are, why you started websites with bootsy, and who you love working with.

A sentence on how you work with people (by email, on a call, at their pace).

Questions people ask

Your website, your accounts, no lock-in.

What if websites with bootsy goes out of business?

Your website keeps running. It lives in your own GitHub and Cloudflare accounts, and nothing of ours is needed once it's live: no server of ours, no subscription. You can stop working with us at any time and keep everything.

I'm not technical. Can I do this?

Yes. You follow a short checklist with pictures: make two free accounts and click to connect them. We do the rest. After launch you change things in your own editor: click a heading or a photo on your page and change it.

What if I don't want to edit it myself?

Send me what you'd like changed, by text or email, and I'll do it within a business day: $60 an hour, $15 minimum per change. Bigger jobs are quoted first. You can still change anything yourself, free.

Can I post news and updates?

Yes. Write a post in your editor with a title, a date and a photo. Your site lists the newest, and each post gets its own page.

Can I make changes from my phone?

Yes. Your editor fits a phone screen, with Save and Publish always at the bottom.

Will my pages look good on Google and when shared?

Your editor shows each page as it appears in Google and when its link is shared, and tells you in plain words what to fix, like a missing description or picture.

What if I don't like the result?

A $100 deposit starts your move, and you pay the rest only when you approve your new site. If it isn't right, your deposit comes back and you owe nothing.

Why a deposit?

It's how we both commit: it holds your place and covers the work if a move stops partway. It comes off the price, and it comes back if you don't approve your new site. If you stop partway, or I don't hear from you for 60 days, it covers the work done so far.

Will my email or website stop working during the switch?

We copy every setting your domain has, email included, and check them before anything switches. Your current site stays up until the new one is checked, and your email provider doesn't change.

Will I lose my place on Google?

Your words, page addresses, page titles and descriptions stay the same, and a page whose address changes forwards to the new one. Faster pages and fixed search details tend to help, not hurt.

Will there be costs later?

Hosting is $0 on Cloudflare's free plan. If you pay monthly, the payments stop after the set months. Your domain and email cost what they cost today. Optional: an AI account for bigger changes (Google Gemini's is free), and Stripe's usual fees if you sell online. New features for your editor arrive in it at no cost: you choose when to install each one, and can undo it.

Who can get into my accounts?

Only you. We never ask for your passwords: you give us access through GitHub's and Cloudflare's own permission screens, and you can take it back at any time in their settings. While we build, you can see our access to your editor and switch it off.

Why GitHub, and what if something happens to it?

GitHub (owned by Microsoft) is where more than 100 million developers keep their work; your account is free and private. Visitors never load your site from GitHub: Cloudflare shows it, so a GitHub problem doesn't take your site down. You can download a full copy of your website from your editor at any time and keep it as your own backup.

What if Cloudflare changes its free plan?

Cloudflare shows websites' files free and without limits on its free plan, and runs about a fifth of the web. If that ever changed, your site is standard web files that any web host can show; the contact form and editor would be set up again there.

When do I cancel my current plan?

Not yet. After launch we check your new site every day for two weeks, then tell you when it's safe to cancel your old plan.
